Hi there! I’m Angela, the friendly face behind Halcyon Calligraphy. Thank you for taking the time to check out my site, I’m so glad you’re here!

When my mother remarried, I watched in awe as my grandfather calligraphed each and every one of her invitations with graceful, deliberate strokes. He inspired me to learn calligraphy for myself and I’m so glad I did. I believe that in an ever-growing digital world, pointed pen calligraphy adds a personalized and unique touch to any piece.

My passion for calligraphy and penmanship has been a lifelong pursuit. I’ve loved beautiful penmanship for as long as I can remember (my mother’s is, hands down, still the best I’ve seen!). I’ve pursued calligraphy as a hobby for 7 years. I’ve taken many courses under the guide of several instructors, fulfilled calligraphy needs for multiple weddings and spent countless hours practicing calligraphy in my spare time. With the support of my friends, family and mentors, I’ve decided to pursue this as a business! I’m a registered nurse by day, but am fully dedicated to improving my calligraphy and managing my small business when I’m not taking care of patients!

I live in Denver, Colorado with my husband, Josh and two dogs, Grizz and Dakota.
